Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science)

Where Computer Science Meets the Power of Data

Industry Institute Interaction cell

The Industry–Institute Interaction (III) Cell of the Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) Department bridges the gap between academia and the rapidly growing data science industry. It promotes collaboration through internships, industrial visits, expert lectures, workshops, hackathons, and industry-driven projects, giving students exposure to real-world data science applications.

By engaging industry experts in curriculum development, mentoring, and guest sessions, the cell ensures that students stay updated with the latest trends in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data analytics. Through these initiatives, students develop strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills while gaining practical experience.

The III Cell also focuses on enhancing teamwork, professionalism, and employability, preparing students to become skilled data scientists and technology professionals ready to meet modern industry challenges.

MOU's & Collaborations

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering (Data Science) has developed strong academic–industry partnerships through Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with reputed IT companies, technology organizations, and research institutions. These collaborations enable student internships, industrial training, expert talks, coding boot camps, and hands-on exposure to real-world software development and emerging technologies. The MoUs also support collaborative research, consultancy, innovation projects, and technology development aligned with current industry demands. Such partnerships bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical implementation, enhance technical proficiency and employability skills, and foster a culture of innovation among students and faculty. Through these sustained collaborations, the department promotes continuous knowledge exchange, curriculum enrichment in line with industry trends, and long-term mutual growth for both academia and the technology sector.

Internships

The department actively promotes internship opportunities to provide students with practical exposure to real-world industry environments. Internships enable students to apply theoretical knowledge in areas such as data engineering, analytics, software development, and business intelligence while gaining hands-on experience with industry tools and practices. Through strong industry collaborations and professional networking, students gain valuable experience that strengthens technical competence, teamwork, communication skills, and industry readiness.

Industrial Visits

Industrial visits serve as an essential component of academic learning by providing students with direct exposure to real-world industrial environments and professional practices. As part of this initiative, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) organized an industrial visit to Genesys Informatics India Pvt Ltd, located at Cyber Gateway, Hyderabad. During the visit, students observed professional software development practices, corporate work culture, and modern technological implementations. Interaction with technical experts provided valuable insights into system architecture, project workflows, and current industry trends. The session helped students understand how theoretical concepts are applied in real-world scenarios, thereby bridging the gap between classroom learning and industry expectations. Industrial visits also enhance students’ technical awareness, communication skills, and professional ethics. Overall, the experience motivated students to focus on skill development and career planning, preparing them to confidently face future industrial and technological challenges.
